Title: Why Does the Agency Report So Many Leads That Sales Never Calls?
Author: Róth Miklós
---------------------------------------------------------------------
INSERTION GUIDE (WordPress):
1) Gutenberg: create a new post, add the title, featured image and SEO
description (suggestion below), then use a “Custom HTML” block for
the content and paste in the complete code.
2) If the theme filters the section here:
Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
3) The
Google Fonts line is optional: if the site already loads
the Teko/Rubik fonts, you can remove it (the page will use its fonts).
4) Every class name is namespaced under the .om101- article prefix,
so it does not conflict with the theme or Elementor styles.

  The Problem

The Sentence Every Agency Knows

“You brought us twenty leads again, and I couldn’t call any of them.”

If you run an agency, you have heard this sentence before. If you are a sales manager, you have probably said it yourself. And both sides are right – according to their own metrics. The marketing report is green: lead volume is increasing, cost per lead is falling, and campaigns are reaching their targets. The sales report, however, is red: the acceptance rate is falling, contact time is increasing, the pipeline is empty, and the number of closed deals is not moving.

The conflict almost never begins with advertising quality. The conflict begins with the definition. As long as marketing counts anyone who fills in a form as a lead while sales expects someone who is immediately ready to request a proposal, the two reports do not describe the same reality – they are simply looking at the same rows through two different pairs of glasses.

This article is not about how to generate more leads. It is about how to create the agreement that makes a lead count. Because volume alone has never been a business outcome – and management decisions are not based on the number of leads, but on how much revenue those leads ultimately generate.

First, I define the qualified lead together with sales: need, budget, location, timing and – where relevant – decision-making authority. Then I compare channel reports with acceptance and close rates so that both teams measure the same outcome.

What Is a Qualified Lead? The Five Criteria

A qualified lead (Marketing Qualified Lead, or MQL) is not simply a status inside the CRM, but a jointly agreed definition. If marketing creates the definition alone, sales will not accept it. If sales creates it alone, marketing will not be able to deliver against it. The solution is a definition both teams can see, understand and accept – before any campaign is launched.

The following five criteria form the framework we use in practically every B2B and service-based project. The order is deliberate: it reflects the filtering logic through which raw interest becomes a business opportunity.

  Diagnosis

Seven Real Reasons Why Sales Does Not Call the Lead

Before changing anything, we need to understand where the disconnect comes from. In the overwhelming majority of cases, we find one – or a combination – of the following seven causes. It is worth reviewing them in order because each requires a different remedy.

      01

There Is No Shared Definition

Marketing counts a “completed form” as a lead, while sales expects “purchase intent.” The same data means two different things. This is the default situation at most companies – and it is also the cheapest problem to fix.

      02

Different Incentives (KPIs)

The agency is measured on lead volume and CPA, while sales is measured on closed deals and revenue. When incentives pull in different directions, behavior follows. This is not a human failure; it is a system failure.

      03

Attribution and Timing Gap

SEO and content-marketing leads often close months later. If sales thinks in a 30-day window, even a good lead appears “weak” – when in reality it simply matures differently.

      04

Data-Quality Problems

Incorrect phone number, private email instead of business email, “asdf” in the name field, duplicate records or missing company size. The form may have been too short – or too long, causing people to submit it half completed. Both lead to the same problem.

      05

No Feedback Loop

The agency never finds out why a lead was rejected. Without this information, it repeats the same mistake month after month, while sales understandably feels that “nobody listens to us.”

      06

Capacity Shortage and No SLA

If sales has no explicit commitment regarding how quickly a lead must be contacted, leads get lost in the queue. Research and practical experience point in the same direction: the first 5–30 minutes can have a major impact on the success of making contact.

      07

Deteriorating Targeting and Channel Drift

A campaign that performed exceptionally well for three months eventually becomes fatigued: the same audience, banner blindness, cheaper and weaker placements, expanding lookalike audiences. Volume remains, but quality slowly leaks away – and only comparative measurement reveals it.

Diagnostic trick: request 30 randomly selected rejected leads and review them one by one together with the salesperson. You are not looking for an opinion; you are looking at actual records. In the overwhelming majority of cases, by the 10th–15th lead the main reason becomes crystal clear – and it is often not what either side expected.

  Measurement

Measuring the Same Outcome: The Logic of Channel Comparison

The second step – and in my view the most valuable part of the entire system – is to compare channel reports with acceptance and close rates. Lead volume on its own is a meaningless number. It becomes useful for decision-making only when we place beside it the two ratios that show what happened to the lead beyond the marketing boundary.

The Funnel Both Teams Need to Understand

Lead Volume: how many records arrived from the given channel.

Acceptance Rate / Sales Accepted Lead: how many were accepted by sales according to the shared definition. This is the most important metric at the bridge between the two teams.

Contact Rate: how many accepted leads were actually reached within the agreed time.

Opportunity Rate / MQL→SQL: how many conversations became genuine pipeline opportunities.

Close Rate: how many opportunities became customers.

Revenue and ROI: how much revenue the channel generated and how much it cost. This closes the loop – and this is what management decisions should ultimately be based on.

Metric

What Does It Show?

Who Owns It?

Healthy Direction

Lead Volume

The channel’s “volume”

Marketing / agency

Growing, but not as an end in itself

Acceptance Rate (SAL)

Fit with the definition

Shared

Stable or increasing

Contact Time

Speed and discipline

Sales

Decreasing (within SLA)

MQL → SQL Rate

Depth of genuine interest

Shared

Increasing

Close Rate

Offer and market fit

Sales

Stable

Revenue per Lead

Business value

Shared

Increasing

Distribution of Rejection Reasons

Diagnosis, not blame

Shared

Fewer and fewer “no reason” records

Why Is the Acceptance Rate the Key Metric?

Because it is the only number to which both sides must contribute. Marketing cannot say, “we handed it over; the rest is not our problem,” because acceptance evaluates the quality of the leads we delivered. Sales cannot say, “they are all bad,” because acceptance decisions must be made according to their own written rules.

In practice, this is how we build the report: for every channel – organic search, PPC, LinkedIn, newsletter, content download and referral – we show lead volume, acceptance rate, contact rate, close rate and revenue generated by the channel in separate rows. Once these five numbers sit next to one another, it becomes immediately clear which channel is cheap and weak, which is expensive and excellent, and which one simply needs to be stopped.

Real impact: after a change, lead volume may be cut in half while the acceptance rate doubles and revenue increases. In that case, marketing performs “worse” according to the old report and better according to the new one. This is exactly why the reporting format itself must also be approved jointly; otherwise the transition becomes the next subject of conflict.

Organic channels – namely search engine optimization and content marketing – typically deliver more slowly but more sustainably and with a higher acceptance rate. Paid channels generate volume faster, but they are more sensitive to deterioration in targeting. If this difference is not communicated to sales in advance, tension in the second month is almost guaranteed. We summarize our detailed methodology in the on-page and off-page SEO guide.

A free-text comment is not enough – you cannot build a reliable report from it, and you cannot see trends.

Once this list has been used for three months, you have one of the most valuable datasets a marketing organization can own: the distribution of rejection reasons by channel. If “no budget” dominates PPC, targeting and messaging need to be narrowed. If “unreachable” dominates a specific form, the form needs to be rebuilt. If “spam” is high, technical protection is needed. If “wrong timing” is the largest category, however, there is no lead-quality problem – there is simply no nurture system, and solving that is marketing’s responsibility rather than sales’.

This shift in perspective eliminates much of the conflict by moving the discussion away from people and toward processes. The question is no longer “who is right?” but “which rejection reason is increasing, and which setting do we need to change?”

The Weekly 30 Minutes That Changes Everything

We introduce a short meeting with a strict agenda: every week, the agency and the sales manager review the previous week’s leads. It is not a presentation and not a status report – it is a record-level review. There are only three questions:

Which lead was accepted, and why? (This teaches us what to strengthen.)

Which lead was rejected, and why? (This teaches us what to narrow.)

What will we change next week? (One, maximum two concrete adjustments.)

This meeting works because it is small, concrete and consequential. Every session produces a decision, and the following week its impact can be seen in the numbers. Within three months, the same two people typically have completely different conversations – speaking the language of joint optimization instead of defensiveness.

  Reporting

How Should You Communicate the Results to Management?

Management is not primarily interested in lead volume; it wants to know whether marketing spend generates business results. That is why we always build the report in reverse order: revenue first, pipeline second, and lead volume only third.

Page 1 – Business Results: revenue by channel, ROI, average customer size and backward-looking close rate.

Page 2 – Pipeline Health: number of accepted leads, MQL→SQL rate, average cycle time and pipeline coverage.

Page 3 – Activity: lead volume, CPA, conversion rate and traffic sources – for context, not as primary KPIs.

Page 4 – Lessons and Next Steps: what we changed, what effect it had and what we plan next. This is the section that separates the report from generic monthly emails.

When an agency reports this way, the “lots of leads, poor quality” argument disappears because the conversation already takes place in a shared language – the language of revenue. This is the point where the agency moves from supplier to growth partner, and where sales also begins to treat marketing results as its own.

If these five points are working, the question “why don’t you call our leads?” simply disappears – because there are no longer two separate lists. There is one list, with one definition, one owner and one metric. This is exactly how marketing and sales become a single growth team.

  Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and Answers

    <details>

What Is the Difference Between an MQL and an SQL?

An MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) is a lead that fits the ideal customer profile according to marketing’s criteria and is worth handing over to sales. An SQL (Sales Qualified Lead) is a lead that sales has classified as a genuine opportunity after the first conversation and has moved into the pipeline. The ratio between the two is one of the most important indicators of how accurately marketing is targeting.

    </details>

    <details>

How Quickly Should a Lead Be Called?

Practical experience and the professional literature both indicate that the probability of making contact falls sharply after the first half hour. A realistic SLA in an SME environment is a first attempt within one business day; an ambitious target is within one hour. The important thing is not perfect speed but measuring it and improving it.

    </details>

    <details>

What Should I Do If Sales Simply Refuses to Cooperate?

Start with data, not requests. Show 20 rejected leads that later became customers – or the reverse: show that 60% of rejections can be traced back to the same single reason. Concrete records are more persuasive than any argument. If this still does not help, raise the issue to management level with a proposal for a shared metric – not as a complaint, but as a process-improvement initiative.

    </details>

    <details>

Can a Lead Definition Be Too Strict?

Yes. This is a common mistake at the other extreme. If the definition is so narrow that almost no leads arrive, sales capacity remains underused and growth slows down. The correct approach is to begin with a relatively permissive definition, measure the acceptance rate for three months, and then gradually tighten the criteria where rejection reasons become concentrated.

    </details>

    <details>

Are SEO Leads Really Better Than Paid Leads?

Generally yes, but not as a universal rule. A user arriving from organic search is actively looking for a solution, so intent is often stronger, cycle time shorter and acceptance rate higher. At the same time, volume is limited and builds slowly. Paid channels are more scalable, but more sensitive to deterioration in targeting. The correct answer is almost always continuous adjustment of the balance between the two channels – which is exactly why we compare them using acceptance and close rates.

    </details>

    <details>

What Tools Do We Need for All of This?

Fewer than you might think. A CRM where status and rejection reason can be recorded; a form system that passes source and campaign information; a reporting tool such as Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Looker Studio or the advertising accounts’ own reporting systems; and an automation layer that runs nurture sequences. The process and the agreement are more important than the tool stack.

    </details>

    <details>

How Long Before the Results Become Visible?

The acceptance rate can typically improve measurably within 30–60 days because it is primarily a definition and targeting issue. The effect on closing and revenue takes 3–6 months because the B2B sales cycle is longer. It is worth communicating these two timelines to management as well; otherwise impatience in the second month becomes the reward for a process that was actually set up correctly.

    </details>

---------------------------------------------------------------------
3) A

  A probléma

A mondat, amit minden ügynökség ismer

A marketing riportja zöld: nő a leadmennyiség, csökken a leadenkénti költség, a kampányok teljesítik a kitűzött célt. Az értékesítés riportja viszont piros: az elfogadási arány zuhan, a kapcsolatfelvételi idő nő, a pipeline üres, a zárások száma nem mozdul.

A konfliktus szinte sosem a hirdetésminőséggel kezdődik. A konfliktus a definícióval kezdődik.

      01

A büdzsé hiánya a leggyakoribb csendes gyilkos.

      03

      04

Időzítés (Timing)

Mikor indul a projekt?

A leadmennyiség önmagában értelmezhetetlen szám.

Kapcsolatfelvételi arány (Contact Rate): hány elfogadott leaddel sikerült ténylegesen beszélni a vállalt időn belül.

A heti 30 perc, ami megváltoztat mindent

Mit változtatunk a következő héten?

A lényeg öt pontban

A visszautasításnak oka legyen, ne véleménye – a taxonómia a leggyorsabb út a valódi hibakereséshez.

    <details>

A kettő közötti arány a legfontosabb visszajelzés a marketing célzásának pontosságáról.

    </details>
    <details>

    </details>
    <details>

A konkrét rekordok meggyőzőbbek minden érvelésnél.

    </details>
    <details>

Lehet-e túl szigorú a lead-definíció?

    </details>
    <details>

A helyes válasz szinte mindig a két csatorna arányának folyamatos hangolása – pontosan ezért vetjük össze őket elfogadási és zárási arány alapján.

    </details>
    <details>

    </details>
    <details>

Érdemes a vezetőség felé is ezt a két ütemet kommunikálni, különben a második hónapban türelmetlenség lesz a jutalom a jól beállított folyamatért.

    </details>

01 — Starting Point

Why Is “Which Channel?” the Wrong Question on Its Own?

When a business owner asks “which advertising platform brings in the customers,”
they are actually asking for something very human: a simple ranking. They want to know
where to put the next unit of budget. The problem is that phrasing the question this way
assumes there is one correct answer – even though marketing channels
are not substitutes for one another, but work at different points in a process.

Think of a dental clinic offering premium implants. Google Search reaches the person
who already knows exactly what they want and is comparing prices. Meta primarily reaches
someone who may not even have been considering treatment yet, but suddenly stops at a
before-and-after image. The email list brings back people who asked three months ago
but then disappeared. Forcing these three into a single ranking would be like asking:
what matters more in a car, the engine or the brakes?

The second problem is selection bias. Every channel brings people with
different levels of intent, and those people become paying customers at different rates.
Someone searching for a brand closes at a dramatically higher rate than a cold audience.
If we look only at conversion volume, branded search will always win – even though the
brand demand may have been created by the other channels. This is why we say that channels
feed one another, and this contribution is completely invisible in most reports.

The third problem is the simplest and most uncomfortable one: most companies do not actually
know which of the people coming from advertising eventually paid.
One platform reports 42 conversions. Analytics reports 29.
Accounting shows 11 new customers. All three numbers refer to the same month.
Until these three numbers can be reconciled into one line, every answer to the channel
question is, at best, an educated guess.

The practical conclusion: channel selection is not a question of
“which platform is best,” but a portfolio question.
You need to know simultaneously which channel generates demand, which closes demand,
and which keeps the customer active after the purchase. The bad news is that these
require three different measurement systems. The good news is that together they
        provide a genuinely decision-ready picture.

02 — Data Reliability

Why Should Platform Data Not Be Taken at Face Value?

Advertising-platform reports are not lies – they are interpretations.
Every platform uses its own attribution model to decide what should receive credit for a
purchase, and these models view the same journey differently. If you ignore this,
the “best channel” will not be the most profitable one, but the one with the most
      aggressive attribution model.

Five Mechanisms That Inflate the Numbers

Last-click and similar default models. If the final click gets the
credit, every channel that is present at the moment of decision – branded search,
remarketing, email – becomes artificially overvalued. Upper-funnel work becomes
        invisible and is eventually cut.

View-through conversions. A purchase occurring within 1–7 days after
an ad impression that was not clicked may still be counted. This mechanism regularly
attributes purchases to advertising that might have happened anyway.

Modeled and estimated conversions. Because of missing consent data,
systems increasingly use statistical models to fill in missing information.
This is useful as a directional indicator, but it is not an audit-ready number.

Duplicate measurement. The same purchase may appear in the media
platform, analytics and the webshop’s internal reporting. Adding all three reports
together is a common and expensive mistake.

Different time zones, definitions and currencies. A significant part
of the 8–15% differences seen at month-end is not fraud but semantics: the definition
of a “lead” differs between media platforms, analytics and the CRM.

What Platform Data Actually Tells You

This does not mean platform data is useless. Quite the opposite:
platform data is excellent for optimizing within the platform’s own system.
If you are comparing two ad texts or examining which audience generates a better
click-through rate, the platform’s own data measures exactly what it is designed to measure.
The problem begins when we use it to make cross-channel decisions.

A useful mental rule worth remembering:
platform data is operational; business data is strategic.
An operational decision is: which creative should I switch off?
A strategic decision is: what percentage of next quarter’s budget should go to search,
what percentage to social media, and how much should remain for turning existing customers
into repeat buyers? The platform’s own report will never be enough for the latter.

I do not simply accept what a platform claims about its own conversions. The analysis
connects three sources: media, analytics and CRM. Channel ranking always comes from

03 — The Source of Truth

CRM Stages: This Is Where the Business Fact Is Created

If you can make only one structural change today, make it this one: measure channels
not at the conversion level, but at the level of customer-journey stages.
A conversion is an event on a website. A paying customer, however, is a state inside
your business. Qualification steps need to exist between the two, and these must be
      recorded in the CRM.

A Working Stage Model

Lead: provided contact details. We do not yet know anything meaningful about intent.

MQL (qualified lead): matches the target profile – industry, size, geography and need.

SQL (sales-ready): has a specific need, timing and decision-making authority, or at least two credible intent signals.

Proposal: a formal proposal has been sent containing an amount and deadline.

Won customer: signed contract or paid order.

Repeat / upsell: second purchase or expansion. This is the level of real profitability.

Once this chain exists, the channel question suddenly becomes answerable, and most importantly:
the answer often contradicts what the platforms claim.
A typical pattern I see repeatedly is that social-media channels generate a high number
of leads, but their SQL rate and closing rate are low. Search generates fewer leads,
but a substantially higher proportion of them become contracts.
If you look only at cost per lead, social media appears efficient. If you look at
cost per won customer, the picture reverses.

The same applies on the revenue side. Two channels may generate the same number of customers,
while the average contract value of one channel’s customers is twice that of the other.
This difference comes from the nature of the channel: the level of intent is different,
the decision-maker is different and the competitive situation is different.
A conversion report will never reveal this because it has no knowledge of the contract value.

1.Measure the channel at the won-customer stage, not at the lead stage.

2.Record the date of every stage change – only then can you perform cohort analysis.

3.Connect contract value to the source campaign.

Practical implementation does not require a large system. A spreadsheet may be enough
if it is maintained consistently: date of entry, source and campaign, stage,
stage-change date and contract value. After three months of data, this table can give
you a more accurate picture of channel value than any advertising-platform report.
The important thing is not the tool, but that the fact of payment
is connected to where the person came from.

04 — Measurement Architecture

The Three-Layer Measurement Model

Data-driven channel decisions are not about a single tool, but about connecting three layers.
If any layer is missing, the decision will be incomplete. Let us look at what needs to be solved
      within each layer.

Layer 1 — Platform (Media)

This is where daily optimization happens: creatives, audiences, offers and bidding.
At this layer, the platform’s own conversion metric is completely acceptable because
the system is comparing performance inside its own environment. The task here is to maintain
a consistent conversion definition: the same event should count as a conversion
across every platform, and click-attribution windows should be documented.
If the search campaign uses a 30-day click window while social uses 7 days, the two
      cannot be compared directly.

Layer 2 — Analytics (Behavior)

Analytics shows what happens on the website: where traffic comes from, where the process
breaks down, and which events signal genuine intent. It is also worth defining
micro-conversions here – using a price calculator, starting a quote request,
watching 75% of a video – because these provide signals much earlier than the actual purchase.
An important limitation of analytics is that cookies and consent requirements make the data
incomplete: it undermeasures reality. Therefore, use it not as an absolute number, but as
a tool for ratios and trends.

Layer 3 — CRM and Commercial Data (Business Reality)

This layer has the final word: how much revenue was generated, what the acquisition cost was,
what the lifetime value is, and how long the investment takes to pay back.
The technical minimum for connecting the three layers is:
consistent use of UTM parameters, recording the source when the lead is created,
and linking contractual data back to the source.
After that, only one thing needs to happen regularly: reconcile the three layers monthly
      and document the differences.

Typical Tool

Reliability

Which advertisement performs well within its own system?

Advertising platforms

Medium

Analytics

What happens on the website, and where does the journey break down?

GA4, events, heatmaps

Medium

CRM

Who was qualified, who closes, and for how much?

CRM, pipeline

High

Finance

How much revenue and return were actually realized?

Billing, accounting

High

The table reveals the key point:
the two “high-reliability” layers are almost always missing from channel decisions.
Yet these are exactly the layers that tell you how many of those 42 conversions became real business.
Once you connect these two columns, arguments about the “better platform” largely disappear on their own,
because you finally have a shared and difficult-to-dispute unit of measurement: profit.

05 — Decision Framework

Channel Scorecard: How to Rank Channels Properly

To compare channels, you need a common denominator.
The following six metrics together are enough to evaluate a channel using mathematics rather
than intuition. Important: all of them must be calculated for the same period and using
the same definitions, otherwise the comparison is meaningless.

        01

CAC — Customer Acquisition Cost

Total channel cost divided by the number of won customers. Not by the number of leads. This is the figure an advertising platform will never show you.

Key question: how much does one paying customer cost?

        02

Paying-Customer Conversion Rate

What percentage eventually becomes a contract. This varies enormously by channel and is one of the best quality filters available.

Key question: how serious is the intent behind the traffic?

        03

Payback Period

How many months it takes for the customer to repay the acquisition investment. A channel with an 18-month payback period requires growth capital, and you need to know that.

Key question: can the cash flow support it?

        04

Lifetime Value (LTV)

Not the first purchase, but the value of the entire customer relationship. Some channels produce smaller initial baskets but substantially more loyal customers.

Key question: what is the customer worth over the long term?

        05

Incrementality

The additional result the channel actually causes. This can only be measured with a control group or by switching activity on and off – and it is the most important metric.

Key question: would this customer exist without the channel?

        06

Scalability

What happens if you double the budget? Some channels scale almost linearly, while in others efficiency drops immediately.

Key question: how far can spending be increased?

The scorecard becomes truly useful when you calculate it not for a single month, but over a
      rolling three-month period.
In marketing, the short term can be misleading: after launch, a channel may perform more weakly
for 4–6 weeks because the system is still learning and the audience does not yet know the brand.
If you rank channels every month, you may end up always keeping the oldest channel running –
not because it is the best, but because it is the most mature.

One warning about the numbers: CAC should always include both
the channel cost and the associated human and tool costs.
The “free traffic” from search engine optimization actually represents the cost of content
and technical work. If you exclude this, SEO will appear artificially superior –
and your decision will be distorted as well.

01 — Kiindulópont

Miért rossz kérdés önmagában a csatorna?

tudni, hova tegye a következő forintot.
egyetlen helyes választ feltételez — holott a marketingcsatornák

A Google-keresés

A második probléma a szelekciós torzítás.
      a legtöbb riportból teljesen láthatatlan.

        „melyik a legjobb platform” kérdés, hanem portfólió-kérdés.

Öt mechanizmus, ami felfújja a számokat

Last-click és a hozzá hasonló alapértelmezések. Ha az utolsó
kattintás viszi a babért, minden csatorna, amelyik a döntés pillanatában van jelen
        — márkakeresés, remarketing, e-mail —, mesterségesen felértékelődik. A felső

View-through konverziók. Egy meg nem kattintott megjelenítés
után 1–7 napon belül történő vásárlás beszámítása. Ez a mechanizmus rendszeresen
olyan vásárlásokat ír jóvá a hirdetőnek, amelyek amúgy is megtörténtek volna.

Modellezett és becsült konverziók. A hozzájárulás hiánya miatt
a rendszerek egyre nagyobb részben statisztikai modellekkel pótolják a hiányzó
adatot. Ez hasznos irányjelző, de nem auditképes szám.

Duplikált mérés. Ugyanaz a vásárlás megjelenik a médiában, az
analitikában és a webshop belső riportjában is. A három riportot összeadni
        tipikus és drága hiba.

Eltérő időzóna, eltérő definíció, eltérő pénznem. A hónap végi

Ellenkezőleg: a
A hiba ott kezdődik, amikor csatornák közötti döntést hozunk belőle.

Egy hasznos gondolati szabály, amit érdemes fejben tartani:
a platformadatok operatívak, az üzleti adatok stratégiaiak.
Operatív döntés: melyik kreatívot kapcsoljam ki. Stratégiai döntés: a következő
negyedévben a büdzsé hány százaléka menjen keresre, hány százaléka közösségi

A csatornasorrend

a konverzió szintjén legyen mérve, hanem a vevőút stádiumai
szintjén. A konverzió ugyanis egy esemény a weboldalon. A fizető ügyfél viszont
egy állapot a vállalkozásodban. A kettő közé be kell építeni a minősítés
lépcsőit, és ezeket a CRM-ben kell rögzíteni.

Egy működő stádiummodell

Lead: elérhetőséget adott. Még semmit nem tudunk a szándékáról.

MQL (minősített lead): illeszkedik a célprofilhoz — iparág, méret, földrajz, igény.

ami a legfontosabb: a válasz gyakran ellentmond a platformok állításának.
A keresőből érkező
költséget nyertes ügyfélre nézed, a kép megfordul.

Ugyanez igaz a bevétel oldalára. Két csatorna azonos számú ügyfelet hozhat,
miközben az egyik ügyfelek átlagos szerződésértéke kétszerese a másikénak. Ez a
különbség a csatorna jellegéből fakad: más a szándék szintje, más a
döntéshozó, más a versenyhelyzet. Ezt a konverziós riport soha nem fogja
megmutatni, mert neki fogalma sincs a szerződés értékéről.

1.A csatornát ne a leadnél, hanem a nyertes ügyfélnél mérd.

3.Kapcsold össze a szerződésértéket a forrás-kampánnyal.

A háromrétegű mérési modell

Itt történik a napi optimalizálás: kreatívok, közönségek, ajánlatok, licitálás.
Ebben a rétegben a platform saját konverziója teljesen elfogadható mutató, mert
a rendszer a saját felületén belüli összehasonlítást végzi. A feladat itt a

Itt
érdemes mikro-konverziókat is definiálni — árkalkulátor

A három réteg összekötésének technikai minimuma: U TM-paraméterek
következetes használata, a forrás rögzítése a lead létrejöttekor, és a
szerződéses adat visszakapcsolása a forráshoz. Ezután már csak egy dolgot kell
csinálni rendszeresen: havi szinten összevezetni a három réteget, és
      dokumentálni az eltéréseket.

Réteg

Fő kérdés

Tipikus eszköz

Megbízhatóság

Platform

Melyik hirdetés teljesít jól a saját rendszerén belül?

Hirdetéskezelők

Közepes

Analitika

CRM

Ki lett minősített, ki zár, mennyiért?

CRM, pipeline

Magas

Pénzügy

Mennyi bevétel és mennyi megtérülés valósult meg?

Számlázás, könyvelés

Magas

A táblázatból látszik a lényeg: a két „magas” megbízhatóságú réteg
szinte mindig hiányzik a csatorna-döntésekből.
oszlopot be tudod kötni, a viták a „jobb platformról” maguktól megszűnnek,

Kulcskérdés: mennyit ér a vevő hosszú távon?

Inkrementalitás

A többlet, amit a csatorna valóban okoz.

Bizonyos csatornák lineárisan skálázódnak, másoknál a hatékonyság azonnal zuhan.

Kulcskérdés: meddig növelhető a költés?

A marketingben a rövid táv

adja. A keresőoptimalizálás „ingyenes forgalma” valójában a tartalom- és
technikai munka költségét jelenti. Ha ezt kihagyod, a SEO mesterségesen
nyerőnek látszik — és a döntésed is torz lesz.
